Practical knowledge of computers is crucial for better employment and education opportunities. In the schools attended by our students, there is often a lack of computers, limiting their ability to practice. Additionally, many households in our communities have little or no access to devices, creating a digital divide that we aim to bridge.

Our Digital Literacy Program equips students with essential digital skills, tailored to their needs. Using bespoke curricula designed by sector experts, classes are held at our Community Centres and led by trained teachers. The classes focus on proficiency with MS Office, Windows, the Internet, and key applications. Additionally, we provide students with space, Wi-Fi, and devices for self-practice.

Program Details

Our students are children and youth from low-income urban and rural communities who lack access to opportunities for learning, growth, and employment but possess strong motivation to change their lives.

Our programs primarily serve students aged 11 to 21—both schoolgoers and job seekers—but are open to anyone in the community with a desire to learn. We ensure that classes are age-appropriate and tailored to meet specific needs and demands.

The Digital Literacy Program students enroll for three key reasons:

  1. They dropped out of school early and struggle to find employment.
  2. They aspire to attend college or get jobs but lack the necessary skills and self-confidence.
  3. They are women who were taken out of school by their families and want to regain their education— to assert their voice and help their young children
