Our Employability Program is a comprehensive training program designed to equip students with the educational, life, and career skills guidance and resources, they need to make a positive shift in their academic and professional paths.

Building on our experience delivering English, computer, and life skills training since 2009, the program—formerly known as the Youth Empowerment Program—goes a step further. In addition to English, and Life Skills, now the program integrates career-related elements, including workplace applications and career guidance, for example, real-world exposure to industries and sector experts.  By providing them with Essential Skills (English, Life and Career Skills and Workplace Applications) and Guidance, by the end of the program, our students will have the skills, awareness and confidence to access and apply for higher education, internships and jobs.

Program Details

Our students are children and youth from low-income urban and rural communities who lack access to opportunities for learning, growth, and employment but possess strong motivation to change their lives.

Our programs primarily serve students aged 11 to 21—both schoolgoers and job seekers—but are open to anyone in the community with a desire to learn. We ensure that classes are age-appropriate and tailored to meet specific needs and demands.

Compared to other programs, students can enroll in the Employability Program from the age of 14, and their primary reasons for joining are:

  1. They dropped out of school early and struggled to find employment.
  2. They aspire to attend higher education or find jobs but lack the necessary skills and guidance to do so.
