Low-income communities often face isolation and have limited access to learning beyond formal education. Our Special Activities Program offers extracurricular activities—primarily on weekends and evenings—to expose students and the wider community to new experiences, ideas, people, and opportunities while promoting learning, fun, and awareness of key issues like inclusivity, healthy living, and financial literacy.

The program includes a variety of activities from movie screenings, to expert-led workshops, health camps, marathon participation, and more. It also provides students with dedicated classroom space and digital devices for self-study. We open our Community Centres to anyone eager to learn, explore, and engage in a supportive environment.

Program Details

Our students are children and youth from low-income urban and rural communities who lack access to opportunities for learning, growth, and employment but possess strong motivation to change their lives.

Our programs primarily serve students aged 11 to 21— both schoolgoers and job seekers— but are open to anyone in the community with a desire to learn. We ensure that classes are age-appropriate and tailored to meet specific needs and demands.

The Special Activities Program has the widest reach and the most diverse group of stakeholders, welcoming everyone in our communities to participate.

We host a variety of activities that continue to evolve based on our community’s needs. Below are a few examples of what we do:

Supervised Self-Study & Mentorship: Homework club, library study sessions, exam preparation support.

Creative Activities & Sports: Drama, dance, digital photography, drawing, martial arts.

Digital & Technology Activities: Computer classes for kids, Internet access, digital literacy.

Workshops & Skill Development: Financial literacy, basic mathematics, career skills, job readiness.

Awareness & Safety Sessions: Personal safety, sexual harassment awareness, cybercrime prevention.

Recreational Activities & Games: Chess, fun group games, physical education activities and board games.

Community Engagement & Discussions: Movie screenings, group discussions, book club.

Public Awareness & Information Sessions: Cybercrime, fake calls, online payments, government schemes.

Health & Well-Being Initiatives: Health camps, mental wellness sessions.

Employment & Career Support: Job fairs, resume-building, interview coaching.

Our activities foster personal growth, skill development, and community engagement. Participants gain academic support, improve critical thinking, and develop creativity through self-study, mentorship, and creative activities. Digital and financial literacy sessions equip them with essential tech and life skills, while awareness programs enhance safety and informed decision-making. Recreational and group activities promote teamwork, communication, and problem-solving. Health camps and job fairs contribute to overall well-being and career readiness, empowering individuals to navigate their futures with confidence.
