Shamshad’s family is originally from Karnataka, but she was born and raised in Dharavi. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from the University of Mumbai, and pursued various IT-related courses, including MC-CIT, Tally, MS Office, and DTP.

She first joined Reality Gives as a student in 2014. Soon after, she was hired as an Office Executive at the Dharavi Community Centre, but thanks to her natural flair for teaching, she quickly became part of our teaching team. She has taught Wellness and Digital Literacy in our School Program and currently teaches Digital Literacy to hundreds of students in our Dharavi centre.

In her free time, Shamshad enjoys listening to soft music, trying different foods, praying, watching YouTube, and spending time with friends. She considers her grandmother her role model for teaching her the value of powering through struggles.
